At the heart of what we do, we are a personal development organisation. And at the heart of that is training. The Training Director heads up everything to do with training and personal development. The main focus is to arrange and deliver the four academies we run in the UK each year. There are Training, Public Speaking, LEAP & Marketing. It's recommended these are delivered with a team of individuals to support, but the Training Director have overall responsibility. There is scope to introduce a Chamber Development Academy and this is something that can be discussed as plans for 2018 are finalised. In addition to the above, the Training Director will also make sure the National Training Team is in the best shape possible to support local chambers deliver both official JCI Course and Individual specialised courses based on the trainers skill set. Finally, it is the Training Directors responsibility to arrange the three speaking competitions at National Convention. These are Extempore, Debating and Public Speaking.
