Could you step up and be the 2019 Website Director for JCI UK?
Unless you have been on another planet for the last year or so, I’m sure you will have seen our brand new, shiny and very professional looking national website.  Taking advantage of advances in technology, market trends and better navigation [are you impressed with my lingo?!], the new website is already having a positive impact on attracting new members as well as being clearer for current members to access information. Technical wizard wanted I’m no technical wizard but know it’s not an easy job to have got as far as we have nor is it to roll out the new design to Local Chambers which will begin very soon.  However, you might be a technical wizard and have a keen interest and knowledge in website, especially the ‘behind the scenes’ or ‘back end’ part (which always makes me think of a pantomime cow!). The 2019 Website Director will be a part of the National Board team and will be responsible for continuing the smooth roll out and development of the new look websites to local chambers.  They will also provide information, guidance and support in a variety of ways for key contacts such as Local Presidents and Local Marketing Directors. The website is really like a shop window for JCI UK which applies both on a local and national level.  So in that sense – does it display the latest merchandise (or events and projects)?  Does it look attractive? If your knowledge extends more than 'turning it on and off again', here's how to apply: Read the 2019 Website Director Role which outlines what is expected from the role. If you wish to stand, please complete the intention to stand template for 2019 – this asks for the reasons you want to stand, what experience you have and the ideas you have for the role.  You then need to get a JCI Chamber to propose you and another to second you – this would usually by the President of the proposing or seconding Chamber.  Then e-mail this to Vicky Biggs, 2018 Admin Director at Vicky.biggs@jciuk.org.uk and also myself mark.smith@jciuk.org.uk at the latest, by 8pm on 17th August 2018.  If more than one person stands for a particular role, we will let you know in case you wish to prepare an election campaign.  National Board roles will then be voted on at the JCI UK Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 15th September.   Mark Smith 2018 Deputy National President JCI UK Senator #76527 E: mark.smith@jciuk.org.uk M: 07977 422341
