It is my honour and privilege to be serving our great organisation as National President in 2021. JCI UK has shown resilience and through all the challenges of pervious months we are looking forward to achieving our objectives outlined in our 2021 Plan of Action.
The JCI UK theme for 2021 is “Developing Leaders for a Changing World”. This theme is more relevant now as JCI UK has a real opportunity to create leaders that our community need. I believe now more than ever we need to collaborate locally and nationally to make JCI UK the “The leading global network of young active citizens.”
Nationally our first event of the year is our KickStart event which is an energising and inspiring collaboration with JCI Scotland, JCI UK, JCI Ireland and JCI Malta. The event will give you the opportunity to meet the National Board team and hear from a number of keynote speaker. Get your tickets here.
I want to inspire active membership as only then you will truly value the organisation and be empowered to do more. In 2021, as a national organisation our focus will be;
- Membership Engagement and Growth “nurturing our community”
- Increase awareness of JCI UK “Promoting Who We Are, And What We Do”
In terms of Membership Engagement and Growth, we want to get back to one of our core as JCI and that is being a leadership organisation. With more focus on our Leadership and Business Academies. Overall we want this network to be a community for our members, where we can all develop the leaderships skill to make incredible change in our communities.
In February we have the first of our National Academies which is Coaching for Leaders. This is being run on the weekend of 20th & 21st February online. If you are interested in expanding your skillset, gaining an insight into the world of coaching or creating some mega goals for yourself, then this Academy is for you. We are bringing together a team of experienced coaches, consultants and D.I.S.C profiling experts to deliver a game changing coaching weekend for you. Limited places get your ticket here. For all our academies attendees have the option of paying in instalments as we recognise times are challenging.
With the focus on leadership and business of course we have our Business and Entrepreneurship Academy taking place on September 25th and 26th. Do you want to know what it takes to be an entrepreneur? Would you like to grow your current business? Do you want to know the key to keeping a motivated and inspired team? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then this academy is for you Limited places get your ticket here.
Increasing awareness of JCI UK “Promoting Who We Are, And What We Do” As an organisation we have a lot of great things happening that is only being promoted in out JCI bubble. We will work as a National Team to explore and implement ways to reach outside our JCI bubble to the wider communities. Our RISE Leadership Conference on May 15th will be a great platform for JCI visibility. We will bring together top leaders from all sectors to share their experiences and top tips to inspire young people. Get your tickets here.
There is many opportunities for JCI in this time and we need to not look at this as a time to shy away from the challenge but to accelerate and connect with all sectors of society to really reach our potential as an organisation.
There are plenty of other events and activities being planned this year so please keep checking out our social media pages and website as well as your local organisation events. Click here to view the 2021 National Board Team video!
Finally, I am here to serve and I look forward to seeing you at an event virtual or physical soon.
Yours In friendship
