Volunteering is ACE
January 20, 2016 10:40 pm Leave your thoughtsLast year JCI UK launched Active Citizen Experience(ACE) award programme. The awards recognise JCI members for volunteering their time, both inside and outside of local chamber and in their local community. Last year three JCI London members diligently logged their hours, between them clocking up over 60 hours of service in their local community. Need a little inspiration, well why not read last year’s ACE award winner stories, who are now leading this year’s Training and Personal Development team. This is no surprise as volunteering allows developing your skills and discover what you’re truly capable of achieving.
The reward system stays the same as last year:
Gold (30 hours)
Silver (20 hours)
Bronze (10 hours)
This year ACE has been improved by extending to include all key JCI areas that impact our communities and ourselves, namely volunteering in relation to our business, personal development and international projects.
So if you are volunteering in any of the four key areas of:
- Community
- Business
- Personal Development
- International
Then please make sure you start to record and log your hours, click here to register. For more information contact the project lead, Dexter Dash, JCI London.
I’m always interested to hear how members are making an impact in their local community. Why not email me a short blog or come along to active citizens meetings. Our next meeting is on Tuesday 10 April- book here
