TOYP – Ten Outstanding Young Persons 2020

JCI United Kingdom’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons Programme (TOYP)

The search for honourees for JCI UK’s 2020 Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Programme has begun. JCI UK’s TOYP Programme recognises the outstanding achievements of young people living in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

“Nominations are now open for the 2020 JCI UK TOYP Programme, recognising the achievements of young people in categories ranging from business accomplishments and humanitarian efforts to outstanding leadership, medical and cultural achievements,” said James Lambert, 2020 President of JCI United Kingdom.  “This COVID -19 crisis will not build leaders, it will reveal them. This is the time for adaptive leadership. There is no standard operating procedure, handbook or rule book. Rightfully so, as JCI UK, we are taking this time to recognise exceptional adaptive leadership that seeks the prosperity of the people within the UK and the world around”.

The JCI UK TOYP Programme recognises young people who excel in their chosen fields and exemplify the best attributes of the world’s young people.  By recognising these young people, JCI UK encourages them and others to seek excellence and serve others.  It is just one way that JCI contributes to preparing better leaders, who will create better societies.

“If you know any outstanding young persons, we encourage you to nominate them for a JCI UK TOYP Award,” James Lambert said.

A link to the nomination form for the JCI UK TOYP Programme can be found here, together with a TOYP Best Practice Guide for Local Organisations who are interested in running a local TOYP campaign.

Completed nomination forms must be emailed to JCI UK TOYP Team at  no later than 2359 on 30 September 2020.
