Here’s some more details about our National Membership Director, Michaela Schaller, and why she joined JCI.
Which chamber are you a member of?
How long have you been a JCI member?
What made you join?
A friend who already was a JCI member had invited me to an open JCI event in Germany. I met likeminded people and I saw the opportunity to return something to my community by working on projects with JCI.
What is the most interesting JCI event you’ve been to and why?
Visiting 5 different companies at night – including factory visits and talks by the local head of police amongst others.
Had JCI presented any unusual/interesting opportunities?
Plenty – from meeting industry leaders, discussions with politicians to having a beach party with 2,000 fellow Jaycees in a Jugendstil swimming pool.
What is your job/career/profession/business?
I sell packaging to the biscuit industry.
Has JCI had any impact on your job/career/profession/business?
JCI offers plenty of personal development opportunities and those had big impact on my achievements be it by attending JCI trainings, running projects or leading a team.
Who is a leader you admire?
What’s your proudest achievement?
Reviving a customer account and building it from no revenue to a healthy account.
Who’s your favourite band/artist?
What’s a good weekend to you?
Meeting friends, going for a run and do some work for the best organisation in the world – JCI in case you did not know;)
Tell us something crazy/dangerous/inspiring/unusual you have done
I swam through a wild river.
