We’re delighted to announce that JCI Leeds won 2 accolades at The JCI Yorkshire Regional Awards: ‘Most Outstanding Social Project’ (The Alternative Quiz of the Year) and ‘Most Outstanding Preparation by a Deputy President’ (Hannah Woodcock).
Read about our award-winning entries below. And fingers crossed for more award success at the JCI UK National Convention!
The Alternative Quiz of the Year (in Support of Yorkshire Air Ambulance)
Date: 28th April 2016
Venue: Revolución de Cuba, Call Lane
As its name suggests, The Alternative Quiz of the Year was no ordinary pub quiz. Featuring entertaining rounds such as, ‘Guess the Face Swaps,’ the event attracted 134 attendees and raised over £900 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
We partnered with DWF LLP‘s (amazing) Leeds office to coordinate this highly successful event – and we’re hosting another social with the law firm in the near future. Join us on the 27th October for a night of free paella and 2 for 1 cocktails. Book your place here; members and non-members welcome.
Most Outstanding Preparation by a Deputy President
“Hannah has been a dedicated member of the Leeds council team this year, inspiring others and encouraging membership engagement. She truly has achieved extraordinary.”
-Georgina Freeman, 2016 JCI Leeds President
If you’d like to get involved with any projects, or have any suggestions for next year’s events, we’d love to hear from you.
