The best analogy I’ve heard for JCI is from Past National President for JCI Norway, Anders Tunnold Hannsen. Anders calls JCI a leadership gym.
Like with a gym, its not enough to pay your membership fee, you have to get active and participate in order to develop your muscles. The more you work out your leadership muscles, the stronger and more developed they get.
How often do we hear from members that they wish they had gotten involved earlier? How often do we hear people say (and me included) that they wish they had discovered JCI at a younger age? Make the most of it! Exercise those muscles while you can!
If you don’t know how to get involved yet, come to JCI UK’s National Convention in London 26th-28th November. Its the best occasion this year in the UK to get a feel for how you can get involved, what JCI can do for you and what you can do for JCI.
