Employability Skills Workshop

Getting the Job

We’re at the start of a New Year, some of you have probably set New Year’s resolutions to change circumstances in your life, such as healthy eating, exercising, travelling or finding a new job.

Unfortunately, I can’t help you with the first three examples, but fortunately for you, I can help you when it comes to navigating your way around the job market to find new opportunities.

As you might have already learnt the hard way, the job application process can be daunting and unpleasant at times, especially if the applications you’re sending is not translating to follow up calls, interviews, let alone an offer.

As an expert at receiving millions of rejection emails and identifying effective strategies, I have teamed up with Nama Njobvu, who is an entrepreneur and recruitment business owner. Nama has dealt with thousands of job seekers in the recruitment sector and wants to share his tips on how to be successful.

  1. Would you like to know how to stand out from other candidates?
  2. Have you applied for a countless number of jobs to receive no response at all?
  3. Are you tired of the constant “we have decided not to progress your application” rejection emails?
  4. Would you like to know why you’re not making the cut and how you can do better?

If you have answered yes to any/all of these questions above, then this workshop is for you.

In this virtual workshop, we will discuss:

  • How to improve your CV
  • How to make your CV stand out
  • Finding Resilience
  • Where am I going wrong?
  • What to do and what not to do, during the application process
  • Perfecting your cover letter
  • Connecting with the right people
  • Networking
