Presidents Blog - April

Wow, we have been a busy chamber in April!

Jo and I attended President's and Deputies Day in Southampton, I got the chance to present to National council how great our community programme is this year. We had a brilliant time visiting our twins in Aberdeen for the JCI Scottish National Conference. 7 members and 2 senators headed North for a food and drink themed weekend. On behalf of JCI Barnsley, thank you JCI Aberdeen!!

We've connected with our past and held our past presidents dinner. We had a social at the White Bear and the Tour De Yorkshire. April's monthly training session was on Neuro-linguistic programming and was really interesting.

In May we have a great opportunity, we are offering a month's free trial of membership!! If you are interested in this offer, please sign up or contact us at membership@jcibarnsley.org.uk

We still have some events you can attend.......

  • The ashes challenge in Rotherham
  • Open Mic training session

In June our community programme is jammed packed as we support our charity of the year BIADS. BIADS will be celebrating their 5th Birthday in June, so on Sunday 7th we will be holding the Great BIADS Bake off with a Birthday cake theme and walking with them on Sunday 14th for their memorial walk.

Outside of Barnsley, we have the first JCI Yorkshire regional competition coming up on 26th May in Sheffield, and the early bird rate for the JCI UK Leap academy taking place in August closes on the 31st May.
