Over and out

As some of you will already be aware I have sadly had to drop out of the marathon due to an injury. I would never have believed just a few months ago how hard that decision would be. Or how much I would miss running.

But life, and training, continues and I am hugely proud of the rest of the team. Hobbling round the Lakes whilst James, Becky and Rich ran the Coniston 14 was tough - especially as I had trained so hard - but it was amazing to see them after the finish. The rest of the team matched the distance the same weekend in Sheffield. Niki and James O even made a video blog!

Things have definitely stepped up a notch since then, with the marathon less than seven weeks away. Easter Sunday saw them up and out bright and early for an epic 17 mile run, filled with discussions of cross training, nutrition and top tips. As we get to the final stages I hope they will all submit guest blogs to let you know what those huge distances are really like.

And as they keep on running, I'll be practising my cheering!

Please sponsor the team at http://www.crowdrise.com/jciunitedkingdom/fundraiser/jcisheffield. Every $10 donated to Nothing But Nets saves the lives of a family in Africa, and will help to eradicate malaria.
