Today I'm thrilled to introduce our newest member to complete a MTM post - Natalie Hutchins.

Which chamber are you a member of?

Southampton

How long have you been a JCI member?
Only a couple of months!

What made you join?
The opportunity to network with people my own age. I wanted to meet people I had things in common with on both a social and professional level.

What is the most interesting JCI event you've been to and why?
I have only been to one event so far which was a drinks event but it was great to meet so many different and interesting people in such a lovely venue. I am looking forward to some of the amazing events coming up in the future!

Has JCI presented any unusual/interesting opportunities?
I was very lucky to have been given the opportunity to join the council as Community Director which I am very excited about and I look forward to finding the right community project for JCI Southampton to support in the next year.

What is your job/career/profession/business?
I am a fundraiser for a local charity called No Limits which is a youth information, advice, counselling and support charity working with and for young people aged under 26 years young people in Southampton and the surrounding areas of Hampshire.

Has JCI had any impact on your job/career/profession/business?
JCI allows me to network with other professionals from a range of industries so I can tell them about the work that we do to raise awareness and see if there is any way we can work together.

Who is a leader you admire?
I don't have one I am afraid. I know I probably should but I generally tend to admire those who have been through some tough times in their life and remain positive and grateful or those whom I can relate to in terms of experiences.

What's your proudest achievement?
I think this is probably still to come so watch this space..............

If we came to your home and looked inside your refrigerator, what would we see?
Tupperware! I keep all my fruit like melon, mango, strawberries, blueberries etc stored in Tupperware boxes and it takes up a whole shelf in the fridge! I also have a whole shelf with jars of preserves & chutneys. I can't help myself I just love buying jams and chutneys and then it takes me months to eat it because I have so many open in one go!

What is a good weekend to you?
Whatever the time of year I always like to start Saturday and Sunday mornings with a workout in the gym. In the winter Saturday would be a coffee and cinema date with hubby and Sunday maybe going for a nice walk followed by roast dinner. In the summer time Saturday would be going to Lymington market in the morning followed by a BBQ in the evening with friends and Sunday maybe a bike ride and a picnic (preferably including a pub with a nice view for a drink at some point!)

Tell us something crazy/dangerous/inspiring/unusual you have done
I am probably one of very few people who have been to the most Northern Post Office (Svalbard) and the most Southern Post Office (Ushuaia) in the world within 4 months of each other. Not very rock & roll

Thanks Natalie!
