JCI UK Partnership Summit Event Write up
On Thursday 24th September, JCI UK was delighted to host our first ever National Partnership Summit.
The National Partnership Summit brought together JCI Members from around the world along with leaders from some of our global partnership organisations, BNI (Business Networking International) and AIESEC (International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences) to hear more about JCI Rise, the new global initiative driving the strategic direction of JCI towards enterprising young leaders.
We were honoured to welcome amazing speakers in 2020 JCI President, Itai Manyere, 2020 Executive Vice President Marion De Groot, and JCI Partnerships Manager Diana Sussman Tockstein from JCI Headquarters. Each speaker shared some informative insights about JCI and was a fantastic opportunity for JCI UK members to hear directly from those in charge of the organisation for 2020.
As our speakers set out, JCI Rise, which stands for Rebuild, Invest, Sustain, Evolve is a prescient global initiative that will help prepare JCI and our members to play a central role in helping our communities and economies to recover from the challenges of 2020 and beyond.
Throughout the course of the summit, participants were divided into breakout groups to get the amazing individuals involved in the session to work. Participants set out brainstorming some of the ways that we as an organisation can work with partners in and outside of JCI to unite all sectors of society and make a tangible impact both in our own development and in our communities. The National Partnership Summit will reconvene on 8th October to look at progress that has been made in the weeks since the first session and look forward to further endeavours that will be undertaken by the fabulous members of JCI UK over the coming, weeks, months and years. We sincerely hope that you will be able to join us then!
