Well this weekend I found the answer at the first JCI UK Marketing Academy held in Barnsley....so here I go!

I have just returned from the two day course which covered everything from branding to blogging and back again - the weekend (and the people I met) have really inspired me...this is my first blog!

The academy, run by JCI UK National Marketing Director, Solveig Malvik, was aimed at members who wanted learn more about marketing for both themselves and their local chamber. JCI Leeds past president, Emma Eastwood, delivered a fantastic session on 'word-of-mouth marketing' and led a workshop which helped delegates to put into practice the skills they had learnt over the weekend and develop a marketing strategy - this was my first time assisting with a training session which I really enjoyed!

JCI Leeds was well represented with three members, Hazel Kajase, Alex Byers and Peter Barnes all receiving their graduation certificates from JCI UK National President, Allison Cowell, who popped in to congratulate everyone involved.

As ever it was great to meet other JCI members from around the UK and share our skills and experiences to support each others personal development.....afterall it's what we do best!
