Storming into the 2nd half of 2013

The summer may be over but things are heating up for JCI Portsmouth. We closed out the summer by welcoming members of all southern region JCI chambers to JCI South Summerfest. Check out my blog following the event.

Looking forward to the rest of the year we kick off September with a social and a glass of wine at the Wine Vaults in Southsea on the 12th, not to be missed. And for those of you who have wondered what 'The Cloud' is all about and if it's worth getting your head into, then join us and David Jones on Thursday 19 September as he takes us through how 'The Cloud' can save you and your business time and money.

October and November are absolutely jam packed! October features our JCI Portsmouth Open Evening where we invite local young professionals and employers to learn more about JCI Portsmouth and how they can get involved. Ashby's Boutique Hotel are kindly sponsoring the Open Evening on 10 October where there will be free canapés and cash bar. The event is free to all attendees with a food donation to Portsmouth Food Bank.

We are also very excited to be holding a charity Halloween Party on 31 October at the Portsmouth Grosvenor Casino in Southsea. This event will be benefiting JCI international charity partner Nothing but Nets. Nothing but Nets works to eradicate Malaria by raising funds to purchase bed nets and educate families around the world on the prevention of Malaria. The ticket price will include welcome champagne reception, networking, dinner buffet and gaming tuition. So start thinking about your creepiest casino costume and there might just be a prize in it for you.

November highlights include The Charity Cake Off  with Highbury College to benefit The Rainbow Centre, JCI Presenter training hosted by JCI Portsmouth and the highly anticipated JCI UK National Convention in Leeds.

There is so much going on and we invite you to get involved. If you have any ideas for events or would like to volunteer to present a training session, please get in touch.
