Do you know an exemplary individual who is doing their bit to make the world a better place? TOYP (Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the world) is a global JCI programme, celebrating the achievements of inspiring individuals who excel in their chosen fields.  JCI UK runs their own TOYP programme with the winners going on to be entered in the international competition the following year. Nominations for this year’s UK TOYP competition are now open.  You can nominate anyone between the ages of 18-40 in one of the following categories:

• Business, economic, and/or entrepreneurial accomplishment
• Political, legal, and/or governmental affairs
• Academic leadership and/or accomplishment
• Cultural achievement
• Moral and/or environmental leadership
• Contribution to children, world peace, and/or human rights
• Humanitarian and/or voluntary leadership
• Scientific and/or technological development
• Personal improvement and/or accomplishment
• Medical innovation

Previous winners from JCI UK in the international awards include: John Loughton - founder of leadership training social enterprise Dare2Lead, John was the youngest ever Chair of the Scottish Youth Parliament and has held numerous positions advising on political committees always championing the causes about which he is passionate.     Katherine Sparks – founder of the Flamingo Foundation, which was created to help vulnerable people empower themselves through long-term, sustainable solutions that benefit their community and the wider public.   Emily Cummins – inventor of a sustainable fridge which is 'powered' by dirty water but keeps medicines or small food items clean, dry and cool.  Emily gave away her design for free to help as many people in struggling communities in Africa as possible.     Sabirul Islam – an entrepreneur since he was 13, winning numerous competitions and awards.  He has written several books and design a board game to encourage young people to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit.   He runs numerous initiatives aimed at empowering youth around the world.   To nominate, please fill in the form below and send it to TOYP@jciuk.org.uk.  The team can be contacted on this email address to help with any questions.
