Mike Mander - JCI UK National President 1985
JCI UK is sad to announce the passing of our 1985 National President, Michael "Mike" Mander. His good friend, Kenneth Moore, shared these words with us in memory of Mike: "Mike was a member of JC Leicester and was elected in 1984 as Deputy National President when Neil Kaiper-Homes was President.  In 1985 he served as National President of BJC (British Junior Chamber - JCI UK's previous name) when I was National President of JCS (Junior Chamber Scotland).  We became close friends during our year in office and our friendship has lasted right to the end and I visited him in his carehome in Clevedon several times over the past few years.  He was an outstanding JC, a great National President but most of all a wonderful and loyal friend who will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace" Our sympathies go out to Mike's wife Carol and all of the many friends he made as a member and senator of JCI.  We are very grateful for his years of service to and support of our organisation.
