Opening Business Lecture, Friday 30th November
o Feargal McCormack FCA, Founder and Managing Partner of FPM Chartered Accountants
o Seminar Title: "Preparing to catch the rising tide"
Feargal McCormack FCA is the founder and Managing Partner of FPM chartered Accountants, an award winning pro-active all-island accountancy and business advice practice, with offices in Newry, Belfast, Dundalk and Dungannon. In June 2012, Feargal McCormack received the
prestigious All-Ireland Award from the Institute of Management Consultants NI Region and the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisors (RoI) in recognition of his significant contribution to business and public life in NI and the Republic of Ireland over the past 20 years. Feargal is currently a Visiting Professor at the University of Ulster Business School, Chairman of CharteredAccountants Ireland NAMA Forum, and member of NI CBI Regional Council. Feargal is a former chairman of the Ulster Society of Chartered Accountants, the International Centre for Local and Regional Development and the NI Tourism Training Trust. He is also a former Non-Executive Director of InterTradeIreland and the Newry & Mourne Health and Social Services Trust.

o Professor Jackie McCoy, Director of University of Ulster Business Institute
o Seminar title: "Leading with Emotional Intelligence"
Jackie McCoy is Professor of Management Development, Director of The Business Institute and Head of Department of Marketing, Entrepreneurship & Strategy at the University of Ulster. Jackiejoined the faculty at Ulster in early 1990 following 10 years in the small business sector including five years in self employment. At Ulster she is responsible for the design and delivery of a significant portfolio of management and business development initiatives and has carried out extensive consultancy in the area of programme evaluation especially in the area of health sector management and healthcare. Jackie is a recognised authority with regard to business and management development and has acted as advisor to government on issues pertaining to the economy, enterprise development, business growth and the development of the third sector.
Jackie has wide international teaching and consultancy experience and has led executive
development initiatives and consultancy projects in the United States, Europe and the Middle East.

o Derek Reilly, JCI Trainer and President, JCI Mayo
o Session Focus: "Networking for Leaders"
If more success and personal development is what you're seeking, then Derek can help you get from where you are to where you want to be. By having a natural passion for training and Derek ensures that his audience will enjoy his sessions along with learning valuable take-home messages that will improve yourself and your business environment. Derek says "A great coach is able to help get more out of you than you can get out of yourself". He has personally trained hundreds of businesses using his friendly and approachable style while maximising the potential from the workshop material.
Derek runs a local printing company and property company in his home town of Belmullet. He is also an officer and instructor in the Mayo Fire & Rescue service since 2001. Since joining the BNI director team five years ago, Derek has progressed within the organisation to become one of the 3 Area Directors in the southern and western regions of the Republic of Ireland, and he is now also the lead Area Director for launching new chapters in the region. This is a testament to Derek's networking and people skills but also shows his focus and results driven goals. Derek is also current President of JCI Mayo. Gaining acclaim for his knowledge in the art of networking, Derek now speaks on the topic both nationally and internationally as well as other topics such as LinkedIn and Klout.

14:10 - Opening Business Lecture: "Preparing to catch the rising tide"
• Feargal McCormack FCA, Founder and Managing Partner of FPM Chartered Accountants
o This opening business lecture will provide delegates with insight on how things are starting to look up within the economy and how best to take advantages of current economic environment to ensure the next generation of leaders ‘catch the rising tide' and don't get left behind when recovery comes full circle.
15:10 - Parallel Sessions
• Princes Trust Mentoring Session
o This session promises to offer delegates the opportunity to share their expertise and experience with Young Ambassadors from the Northern Ireland Prince's Trust and give something back to the local community here in Belfast.
• Public Speaking Competition
o During this session, delegates throughout the UK will be competing nationally by speaking on a range of interesting topics including active citizenship, the Olympics and the next UN millennium development goals among others
19:30 - Friday evening Social and Extempore Competition
• Join us for a night of traditional Irish music, food and a bit of "craic " at the Ulster Reform Club - one of Belfast's oldest private members' clubs. Hot buffet will be provided.
** The Ulster Reform Club has a dress code - so no jeans or trainers please.
