JCI Yorkshire Regional Awards dinner saw all Yorkshire chambers come together to celebrate the regions achievements in 2012 and contest various categories, with the winners going through to compete at JCI UK National Convention in Belfast in December.

I am proud to have been able to enter JCI Barnsley into 7 different categories this year and whilst writing the awards it gave me a real sense of pride to reflect on just how far we have come this year.

On the night of the awards the tension was in the air and as the lights dimmed and Regional Group Chair Steven Vandevelde took to the floor to commence the awards presentations, I secretly crossed my fingers that my fantastic members would get the recognition they so deserved..................... and I wasn't disappointed.

Most Outstanding Growth & Development Programme

Certificate of Merit for Most Outstanding Local President

Oliver Hyde was presented with a trophy for winning The Vicious Circle and Debbie Worthington took Best Dressed on the night and won a bottle of champagne which toasted our success perfectly.

A huge congratulations to everyone who entered from all the chambers and well done to the winners on the night.

I'd personally like to thank all my members for their fantastic efforts this year, they have truely made me such a proud president and made my job very easy. With members like these, I know JCI Barnsley is going from strength to strength.
