February Crazy Networking Review

This week JCI Manchester hosted it’s very first social of the year. The event was hosted at Junk Yard Golf on First Street and featured free drinks, nachos (loaded with cheese, guacamole, salsa and jalapeños), prizes and, of course, crazy golf!

For JCI's first 2019 social, the event sold over 100 tickets and had an amazing and energetic vibe. There were a range of young professionals from various industries who attended including law, finance, marketing among various other freelance professionals.

The event was an excellent opportunity to relax and to get to know other young professionals on a personal level. Networking can often become a taboo term within the business world. It’s not always easy to meet new people from different industries and engage in a pressure-free conversation. JCI have managed to tackle this through their social activities. These socials pair perfectly with JCI’s developmental courses on public speaking. The more you attend, the more you get to know like minded people and can develop out of your comfort zone to meet and mingle with new people. This is one of the many ways JCI is helping the young professionals of Manchester develop in new skill sets and gain confidence.

The first event was generously sponsored by Joe Gregory and Paul Warburton at Think Legal. Our next event will be the beginning of our Public Speaking Academy run by JCI Senator Ilona Alcock. If you haven’t booked your ticket yet, make sure to book it now!

Until the next event! From everyone here at JCI Manchester, we hope to see you there!
