One of the highlights of being a JCI London member is the access to our global network of nearly 200,000 people who want to drive positive change. But our network is broader than the members themselves - we also have meaningful partnerships with local organisations which help our members make an even greater impact. We’re looking for the next Strategy and Partnerships Director to create and nurture external relationships to raise the visibility of the chamber. Sound like a brilliant opportunity to grow your own network and people skills? It absolutely is. So who exactly do we partner with? JCI has the ambition globally to be “the organisation that unites all sectors of society to create a sustainable impact”. In practice, this means the public sector (Government, local councils, universities), private sector (corporations, start-ups), and the third sector (NGOs). The Strategy and Partnerships Director will play a key role in working the JCI London President to strengthen our existing partnerships (for example, the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and create new opportunities for JCI London to collaborate and form key relationships with other organisations, to drive the growth and development of the chamber. The role would particularly suit someone with a knack for connecting with people, forming purposeful relationships, and thinking long-term. Here’s how David benefitted from doing the role:“My year as Strategic Partnerships Director for JCI London was an incredible experience! I was involved in supporting the President by representing JCI London at key events within the City. I was also involved with building relationships with other organisations and institutions in the City that would allow the Chamber to have a greater impact in our local community and beyond.”

This form asks for the reasons you want to stand, your experience, and your ideas for the role. Two JCI members will need to propose and second your nomination. We will let you know if more than one person stands for the role in case you wish to prepare an election campaign. Candidates would be voted on by JCI London members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 14 November.
