Every year on 27th October, individuals and organisations from across the UK come together to raise awareness of mentoring and the positive effects that it brings!
As part of national mentoring day JCI Manchester wants to help connect professionals across Manchester and the UK to make connections. So we’re going to be running a fast paced and fun speed mentoring event which could also be referred to as networking with purpose.
The event will enable attendees to share their areas of expertise and challenges, with a view to finding a peer mentor to support you in your personal and professional development.
This event is free for anyone aged over 18 with an interest in making connections and helping support each other through these challenging times.
All you have to do is come along with answers prepared to the following questions.
- What do you need help with?
- What can I help with?
We will share a survey beforehand asking you to submit your information to help to try and make some initial groupings of offers of help and support to optimise the speed mentoring experience.
As this event will be a virtual speed mentoring format we will limit the event to 40 attendees, which would mean you will get a chance to speak to at least five people over the hour.
To help ensure there are as many successful matches as possible we will also follow up by sharing attendees name and email, along with what you’re looking for help with and can help with, this is to enable onward discussions after the event based on shared interests.
