Could you step up and be the 2019 Training Director for JCI London?
The purpose of JCI can be expressed in two words: Personal Development. It runs through everything we offer to our members and enables us to truly create positive change in our community. Our training programmes are the lifeblood of JCI London. They fuel our members’ personal development, often helping them start their own businesses, get promoted at work, and of course, deliver amazing JCI projects! So, we’re on the lookout for our next Training Director to help our members become their best selves. How do we train our members, you ask? We help them develop skills that are transferable across any job or industry, like public speaking, marketing, debating, and how to start a business. But we’re open to any hot topics that will help our members succeed in their careers. Our programmes are highly regarded, and our 2017 training series even won a National Award for Best Local Personal Skill Development programme! The role of the Training Director is to assess where our members need skill development, create the 2019 training strategy and lead a series of training events. We’re looking for someone who is obsessed with learning and helping others reach their full potential. Prior experience running trainings or promoting events is an asset, but not required - we learn by doing in JCI London! Here is how Blanka Molnar, 2017 Training Director, describes her experience:
"Joining the amazing JCI London crew and being the Training Director in 2017 boosted my confidence and proved that I can do way more than I imagined. Creating a national award-winning programme that enabled members to become aware of their true potential led me to a new job and a fantastic circle of people. Moreover, I became richer with a whole bunch of new skills learnt during my experience."

If this opportunity excites you, please contact Deputy President Drew Cornies (drew.cornies@jcilondon.org.uk) to register your interest and then complete the Intention to Stand form and send it to Drew by 8pm on 8 November. This form asks for the reasons you want to stand, your experience, and your ideas for the role. Two JCI members will need to propose and second your nomination. We will let you know if more than one person stands for the role in case you wish to prepare an election campaign. Candidates would be voted on by JCI London members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 14 November.
